    A pleasure to read and fun to set up an own server. I run an agate server (written in Rust) on a Raspberry Pi B which is attached to my home router. Needs only about 1 Watt of power.

    (Note that the Gemini protocol is not related in any manner to the Google AI stuff - it was in fact published before Google did its deed.)

      I like the idea of the Gemini protocol and while I realize that they need to hold the line somewhere, I find it just a bit too simplistic.

      Yeah, I’m one of those people that the FAQ talks about wanting a tiny addition, which in my case would be explicit images with alt-text. I know some clients render image links inline, but some don’t and there isn’t guidance as to which is correct.
