This actually does a good job of showing why Roko’s Basilisk is stupid. You create the concept by thinking about it much like Lila. You only care about it as an act of faith, no better than believing a vengeful God exists and will banish you to hell if you don’t follow their rules.
Somehow that got me thinking of Roku’s Basilisk again. If you don’t know that, I’m sorry for mentioning. :) But it’s also a cool thought experiment.
