I have no idea who deleted my post: https://anarchist.nexus/post/880380#comment_5219646
The post broke no rules at all, but apparently enough people got mad that they use software made by Nazis like DHH that it got pulled down.

This is the entire post:

If someone could help me out with the modlogs that I couldn’t find, that would be awesome.

In short; it looks like my post was deleted because enough Nazis reported it.

Edit: cleaned things up and included the modlog

It’s easy to see if someone is a Nazi or Nazi adjacent on the fediverse, just look for the @lemmy.world at the end of their username

I wouldn’t go that far. It is a huge instance, and I dislike sweeping generalizations. Saying that is similar to all the “hexbear can’t criticize China” bullshit floating around.

That viewpoint of “the people I associate with have nothing to do with me” is exactly why instances like world delete things calling out Nazis though. If you participate in a space that happily shields Nazis from critisism, then you’re willingly hanging out with Nazis and amplifying their voice.

Hexbear and China is a good example too as you’ve called out. If you’re hanging out in Hexbear, then you’re willingly participating in a space that doesn’t buy into western media perception of China and doesn’t allow critisism of China through that western media lens. So you aren’t really wrong even if you’re trying to get me with it. For better or worse that’s the crowd and by participating in it one is amplifying those voices too.

It’s important to look around us and see who we’re hanging out with, who we’re supporting, who were amplifying.

I don’t amplify Nazis, because I don’t participate in world. Those that do participate in world are though because world lets Nazis do their thing without criticism.

I wasn’t really trying for a “gotcha”, and I generally agree. My point was more about prejudice over someone’s views based on their instance alone, which I am sure you’re well aware of. I can’t say as much for myself and the instance that I am on since I chose very deliberately because of my beliefs. Average user from .world, though? While they may be unknowingly participating in the propagation of fascism, I doubt that they are vaguely aware of it. The moderation/admin? Fuck those turbo libs.

Edit: I am the worst at typing on mobile.
