    You know, every single story I see about China talks about how “they’re going to be” this or that. Personally I think it’s funny how the CCP stopped subsidizing solar, now it’s dropped to 5% of what it was. Before that it was real estate being subsidized and there’s dozens of empty ghost cities now. Now it’s electric cars because China has almost no oil reserves and almost no domestic oil production. Wonder what’s next? They’ve already opened 50 coal power plants in the past two years, maybe they’re moving to AI next, then all these people who bought shit Chinese cars have no aftermarket repair options. Even being incredibly subsidized, only 3 of about 75 Chinese car manufacturers are profitable.
