Hi! I use FreeBSD as a daily driver.

I browse the web, code, and game on it. Works great for me.

My current wishlist is for FreeBSD to have a more robust process supervision system (Dinit I’m looking at you) and for pkg to include some kind of declarative way to build.

It’s great, I love it, join devil Linux.

Pretty much all the “necessary” things do work on BSD, Linux has turned into a gaming OS for me, like Windows had been before 11 was so bad I just couldn’t do it anymore.

I pretty much use office stuff, and multimedia things, with games thrown in now that I’ve ditched Microsoft completely. Figure Linux could stay on a handheld, like a Steam Deck, and consider it a toy like I had WIndows from 7 to 10 when it was at least functional. There is Linux emulation on BSD, too, and I see a setup guide to run the native Linux Kodi port on it.

Damn it… Ok I’ll think about it. I’m not ready to wipe my laptop for it but maybe I can find an alternative.
