Open AI is circling the drain right now. I think if their recently announced last ditch gimmick of free unlimited LLM prompt access doesn’t magically start making them money where their paid service already wasn’t, them be the first domino to fall, and start the cascade
OpenAI is considered of critical importance to the USA government, so much so that they’re saying it’s ok for AI companies like openAI to use whatever copyrighted material they want to train their LLMs.
OpenAI will survive, as long as the US govt survives and is its backer.
