A core aspect of it is the mystery about the powers at play. By the end of Weapons, all the rules were known, so it had nothing left to show us.

Good news, everyone. It’s a prequel.
Basically every horror movie like weapons can only ever be made worse with a sequel. A core aspect of it is the mystery about the powers at play. By the end of Weapons, all the rules were known, so it had nothing left to show us.
If the brand recognition will make money, they will sell it
