minus-squareVictor@lemmy.worldlinkfedilinkEnglisharrow-up8·23 hours ago$4.43 per gallon is still only ⅔ of the price as in Northern Europe right now lol. But I guess we’re better off to pay for it? Less dependent on it? I dunno. I have an EV so it’s whatever for me, personally.
minus-squareVictor@lemmy.worldlinkfedilinkEnglisharrow-up6·23 hours agoAh, I went by the image. Okay, $5.85 is still about ¾ of the price. 😄
minus-squareAngryCommieKender@lemmy.worldlinkfedilinkEnglisharrow-up1·17 hours agoHasn’t been that cheap in months in California. Diesel has been $7 a gallon since February
minus-squareVictor@lemmy.worldlinkfedilinkEnglisharrow-up1·edit-215 hours agoStill less than 75 % of the maximum price of gasoline here during the pandemic in combination with the Ukraine war. 😅 Diesel is $8.30/gallon here now.
minus-squareVictor@lemmy.worldlinkfedilinkEnglisharrow-up1·12 hours ago20 min bike ride. Also I don’t use gasoline or diesel, I have an EV.
minus-squareCADmonkey@lemmy.worldlinkfedilinkEnglisharrow-up1·12 hours agoSo your commute is a fraction of a commute in the US. Here it might be a 30-45 minute ride in a car. One way. Do you see why $5 fuel would be a much larger problem here? I have an EV Good for you. So do I. Everything you own and eat involves a diesel engine somewhere. That is the real problem. People with EV’s have to eat still.
