    In the cases of the LG tvs, they will connect themselves to any open wifi in range, including the Xfinity/AT&T public wifi spots that are often enabled on people’s rented routers.

    So if your neighbor, or the Starbuck’s on the corner has open wifi then that’s enough for your TV to send all your data to the mothership.

      And just to reiterate, “all your data” includes transcripts of everything you’ve said in vicinity of said TV.
