Just doing some quick napkin math, the $5k payouts would cost around $1.25 trillion, pretty much guarantee at least 4 more years of no Medicare for All, and lead to absolutely no systemic change. M4A is estimated to cost anywhere from $2.5-$3 trillion per year. So yeah, he’s almost certainly lying but also even if not it’s a huge bargain for the oligarch class.

Why would he check if they can do it, he has no intention of actually doing it, he probably picked it because it sounds good
