Universal knows for a fact that Musk will sue them the moment that film is released, and because of who he is, how much money he has, and who he knows, it won’t be the average lawsuit. But so what? Universal is a big company, and they got big because of American economic policies. Now is their chance to give back, and exercise their responsibility to defend the First Amendment.

Carr, of course, oversees an agency that wields enormous power over media companies and currently is conducting an investigation into Comcast’s DEI practices.

Why can’t companies operate their personnel any way they want, as long as they aren’t discriminating against anyone?

Universal would be required to pay filmmakers a kill fee not to release the movie, according to a person familiar with the deal’s structure. The filmmakers would then be free to sell it anew, essentially allowing it to profit twice off the same rights sale.

And apparently there are international distributors that would LOVE to get their hands on this documentary, so it is likely to end up being legally shown everywhere but America, the Home of the Free®.

      Why can’t companies…

Not sure if you’re serious because you’re from .world. Do you think the current government is focused on Comcast because of the DEI not being good enough or not being followed? That’s not the case and there’s currently an ongoing campaign to weaken or eliminate DEI.

If you think DEI isn’t necessary, do you also think the Civil Rights Act of 1964 was frivolous?

MAGA is focused on PUNISHING companies for having DEI policies. Some companies, usually the most likely sociopathic companies, only had DEI policies because they thought it was good for business, and were happy to eject them as soon as they could.

So if a company feels that DEI policies are a moral corporate position to take, why should MAGA stick their tiny dicks into the situation?

I was standing UP for companies that still have DEI policies.
