Was it, though? Pretty sure our independence was a bunch of bureaucrats talking about the pros and cons of who was going to pay for defense and railways. Maybe I don’t know our own history… but was there any blood to separate from the English? I think the only blood I know of was the blood to stay out of American hands.

France and Britain fought each other within the region before it was Canada, and we fought as Britain against the States to keep them on their side of the line, and then everything after that was chatting with England in boardrooms.
