there’s no winning safety-wise by shifting to plant-based, at least on that front.

And my following paragraph elaborates on meat still being a somewhat worse option

Okay, my bad. I take safety as meaning overall health outcomes not just acute sickness.

I do think it’s useful to consider that fecal contamination of produce is often associated with poor management of waste from the industrial slaughter industry.
