This is your typical “I’m not homophobic, I don’t mind gay people, but” person. They don’t “mind” gay/bi/lesbian/trans/queer people existing as long as they do it without them needing to acknowledge that existence.
Or to simplify it… they ARE homophobic, but because of current social trends they’re not allowed to say it out loud and they don’t want to get cancelled.
Exactly, have a guy at work like this, claims hes not homophobic but went on a full on rant about his 8-9 year old kid seeing two guys kissing/making out in front of his flat, I even tried to make him see the homophobia by asking if he would have cared if it was a guy and girl and he confirmed it was mainly about it being two guys…some people.
