I am working 12 hours a day plus 2 hrs commuting, when I get home, I want to chill.

I dont want to deal with package managers, window managers, network/gpu drivers and random asian guys github repository to fix my issues.

I also work 12 hours a day (not a 2 hour commute though that’s insane you need a new job) and I don’t want to deal with broken windows update, bluescreens, advertisements, re-disabling some bloatware that windows re-enabled without my consent, permissions issues, the goddamn fucking registry

Linux just works, windows is way more of a hassle

funny how i never have to deal with “package managers”. i just turn my computer on and use it?

if you want the same proficiency you have on an OS you’ve been using for 30 years, you will have to acquire experience with it too.

make the investment or deal with windows, choice is yours.

Are you crazy? Stick to some stable or semi stable distro with a mainstream DE and you don’t have to deal with any of those. 🤦‍♂️

I dont want to deal with package managers, window managers, network drivers

Have you tried running Linux without tinkering any of these? I’ve installed Debian on numerous machines, the distro known for its outdated packages, and never had the need to tinkering any of these to get them to work out of the box.

      It just works

      gpu drivers

This you manage for literally any operating system, certainly not a Linux exclusive.

and random asian guys github repository to fix my issues.

It’s okay, just trust the random Asian guys blog instead to fix Windows issues, much fancier experience.
