There’s a huge difference between charging in town while you’re out for other things, and refueling while on a longer road trip.
If you’re in town with an EV, you theoretically never need to charge because you all have a full battery when leaving your house.
If you’re stopping after three hours on a longer trip, then you’ll likely need to attend to your biological needs at the same time, including just walking around and stretching your legs.
