I’m envious of the way the French protest their government. They’re literally setting things on fire because their schools aren’t adequate. Because the government tried to raise the retirement age. Because their politicians are shitbags.
I think the biggest obstacle to organizing in the US is the sheer distance. It takes 40 solid hours of driving to get from one side to the other. That’s not counting any breaks. France takes about 14 hours. Doable in a day or so if you push it.
Anyway, I’d sign up for a Revolution if there was a serious contender.

I genuinely don’t know how I could communicate this any more clearly. You are still operating on the assumption that we’re on the same side, share the same values and objectives, and that our disagreement is just about how to achieve those objectives. That is completely, utterly wrong. I disagree fundamentally with what you want to achieve. We are not on the same side, at all. It’s not that I’m not using the tactics you want because I don’t understand things, it’s because the things I’m trying to achieve are fundamentally different from what you are trying to achieve. Because, once again, I believe in equality, and you explicitly don’t.
