    I get the financial aspect of it. I had to save for over a year to put aside enough money to give myself enough initial runway.

    However, I was lucky as I had a £90k job, no kids, and my partner and I still have a relatively cheap mortgage.

    I will say though, if you do go for it, you’ll have a whale of a time and learn so much.

    Even if it doesn’t work out long term, the skills you’ll pick up from working outside your comfort zone will be invaluable.
