I’m having such language issues today, all day long. Everything turns into a damn “garden path” sentence.

I read “yanks” as a noun, i.e. people from the US moving to Canada might be called a “Canadian Yank” - in the same way that I had a friend who moved from northern US to southern US and took the moniker “Confederate Yankee”. heh.

My brain has been sideways all damn day. heh

Sounds like Canada is in denial
