Graybeard was 91 if any of you nonagenarians want to challenge him.
I walk a lot, but I have some decades to go before I can put up or shut up in that category.
If you watch any videos of him, guy just has crazy energy. He moves better than many 60 year olds.
i watched the first Appalachian trail mini doc on him, i think this, he seems cool. A lot of the older people I know that keep moving their whole lives have that higher energy when they get older.
it’s wild going to active countries like China or Thailand, so many grandparents are perfectly comfortable walking up and down mountains or exercising in parks, different exercise cultures produce radically different quality of life for old people.
This one on his hike this year really highlights just how young at heart the guy is. The 2000 some miles at the age is an accomplishment in itself, but I wonder if there’s anyone on that trail having as much fun as him.
good video. what I learned from gray beard: take lots of naps and have fun the rest of the time.
That’s probably because he doesn’t sit on his ass all day in front of a computer, and I imagine doesn’t eat processed crap like McDonald’s either.
