The BBC has defended editing out the “Protect the Dolls” slogan on Strictly Come Dancing contestant Bethany Antonia’s T-shirt, after viewers noticed it had been digitally scrubbed from the live broadcast and the BBC iPlayer version.
“Protect The Dolls” T-shirts have become a staple among trans ally celebs, as well as the wider LGBTQ+ community, to show support to transgender people – or “dolls”, which is a positive slang term for a trans woman which originated in the 1980s Ballroom scene.
This has all worked out well. The Streisand effect has come into play https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Streisand_effect
BBC just cancelled drag race UK and some other gay shows as well. Seems to be a concerted effort if they’re going so far as to edit an inoffensive shirt. They had to pay someone to do that, and it wasn’t copyrighted or vulgar.
TERF island strikes again. Fucking gobshites.
“BBC Stands Firm”

Oh no, Britain on the wrong side of history again, no, what ever shall we do
Yes I’m sure the biggest news network of Transphobe Island did this perfectly unprejudicely.
