how is zurich on this list? isn’t it an expensive city? what value makes up for the cost?

The list looks purely based on percent drop in airfare and hotel prices and not the absolute cost. I guess its good value if you wanted to visit there already and it’s “on sale” right now.
It’s not what i would consider crtieria for good value though… desirable places that are cheap, or a city town or country near something “mainstream” and expensive that offers an alternative for cheaper is what i would want.
Yea, seems like an odd set of criteria for sure, cost of living vs food/housing/amenities quality and convenience is how I usually go
