I want steam to have competition, steam being monopoly is scary as then it might turn bad one day. but epic doesnt want to compete. They try everything else but trying to make better product. And its pretty clear their ultimate goal is to be monopoly themselves by doing what they can to drive steam out of business but they fortunately keep failing because they cant comprehend why people prefer steam over their crappy things.
At least something good came out of them now, but that was likely just a fluke. If it wasnt then its good and hopefully they continue to goad steam to become better.

GoG exists, you’re just not using it. Every game is DRM-free and works offline, the launcher can lauch games from other libraries (Steam, Epic) and doesn’t discriminate between games bought there vs bought some place else.
