I always assume most political ads are funded by shady people.
A lot of them that attack a candidate say they’re funded by some group. Just ignore that and assume they’re funded by the person with the most to gain. The one running against them. The money might not be coming from that person directly, but since the ad benefits them, you can just imagine it’s them saying it.
Can’t we have a couple politicians that say “much respect to the other guy but I disagree with how they’d do things, here’s what I’d do instead”. And then have a civil debate where they shake hands before and after and you don’t get the impression you’re mortal enemies with the other guy’s team/voters.
History has shown that lies work well with uninformed voters, so I don’t think this is going to change any time soon.
The art of discourse has been lost in our society. It’s all team sports now.
McCain was the last
Don’t trust political ads. Don’t trust news coverage. Don’t trust politicians.
Elections are built on a lack of trust.
Fifty bucks says if you go further you’ll find the money comes from russia
Technically most democrats are funded by the same people who fund repukes.
