I will never forget going to the store in the mall and having Neverwinter nights in one hand, Morrowind in the other and the clerk waking up to ten year old me and saying “wow, great taste.” offhandedly. I bought Morrowind that day and had never been so completely lost in a game. I ran around getting killed by everything for weeks!
If and when SkyWind comes out, you should definitely try it. They put so much love in it, it will be the closest thing we experienced back then trying fresh Morrowind for the first time.
Alternatively, just try Morrowind right now, it’s a great game.

Great taste indeed
I never played Morrowind but I did love Neverwinter Nights + expansions + community mods (Penultima) to bits.

All depends on whether I can play Skywind on Linux, but thank you for the tip :)
It’s basically an elaborate Skyrim mod, so yes
