Mine is that the useState hook is an actual plague on the entire React ecosystem. Regardless of your opinions of React, if you wanna use something then use it right.

Not a programmer, but I hate softwares that use python, why the fuck it requires 10 million dependencies to function?
Node software too. I hate it so much I have blacklisted npm and bun in my package manager.
Because a dedicated dependency is better than random code.
And any python project older than 8 months has a multitude of shit that breaks or deprecates. It feels like trying to reassemble Tony Stark’s arc reactor any time I need to get an old python project functioning
I hate the whole deal with it’s lack of real private variables and having to rely on virtual environments. Poetry helps, but it can’t fix some of the underlying issues. Also the dynamic typing is annoying.
It’s funny how any dynamically typed language inevitably reverts back to static typing to manage chaos.
Poetry is the best of the bunch but that’s also a massive contributing factor to Python’s chaos. There are like 6 competing ways to set a python project up and despite having all 6 installed on your machine at all times, you still need to install their specific versions of things to get their project to work…
It’s like someone looked at how fast avacados and bananas go bad after lasting a while, and was inspired to make a development environment that did the exact same.
