Mine is that the useState hook is an actual plague on the entire React ecosystem. Regardless of your opinions of React, if you wanna use something then use it right.

I learned it by doing small bash and python scripts first, then moved on to base C.
So i think id start with python. But difficulty is hard to ascertain tbh. You could also just start in the language you think youre gonna use. Doing a good ol hello world program in it is always a good prelim fit test. If the process seems fairly intuitive, move on to the next program.
Theres probably two big hands on ways of learning it. One is just writing your own tools when you need em for the practice of it, the other being following a structured course, where you get little assignments of increasing complexity, classic classroom style.
And all of this probably underlines the main point beautifully. The easiest language to learn is the one you find fun enough to keep practicing with. Because its the ongoing practice thats the real gold.
So how does one even start? Is there like a web page to download python shit? Or is this just shit that’s naturally built into my system and I should just know already?. I’m using Fedora 44 I think if that helps
Absolute easiest to start would be a Google collab notebook. Runs in the browser, don’t have to manage packages.
Running it locally, you should a tool like pyenv or conda to avoid changing your system python packages.
yeah im p sure you install python or python3 via the fedora package manager to start. Then you create a script, foo.py or something. In there you put the actual code. When that looks good, you can run it by going >python3 /path/to/foo.py
additional libs can be a bit of headache with python specifically, but most use the helper tool pip, which can also be installed through the package manager
if im off on anything here lmk, working from inference and memory as im maining nixos atm, where the install process is a bit different :P
