Mine is that the useState hook is an actual plague on the entire React ecosystem. Regardless of your opinions of React, if you wanna use something then use it right.

I don’t know I’m pretty happy to have archival copies of all my games and other media nowadays. It’s a huge improvement knowing my library is never going to shrink or change unless I choose it.
Part of problem is that being able to keep a copy of a game indefinitely doesn’t mean you “own” it. You just have a (revokable) license to use it within the conditions of the license, as with almost all software you use and media you consume.
When companies say you don’t own games, they mean this: you’ve never owned games you bought.
I’m aware. And yeah I don’t even own them and already it’s so much better—just having possession of the files.
It would be even better if my access to my media couldn’t be revoked technically or legally!
And also nothing from that software agreement promises they’ll replace it if you damage the disk or if the console breaks. It is, and has always been in many ways, a loan.
That’s OK I’d rather be responsible for my copy. It’s all digital in my case, so easy to keep backups squirreled away.
