Literally couldn’t watch that show when I tried because it was too stressful. That shit’s happening right now. Had the same thing happen when I watched a Weimar era movie (at least that one I could make it through, and it had a sadly hopeful message still ignored to this day).

Anyone who can get out of the country should. The rest of us are fucked unless intelligence/the military decides he, probably those in power backing him, needs to go. But I think the billionaires (and trillionaire) are making their play right now, and they flood the Left with money too.

Our only hope of a peaceful solution is for people to radically reject any right leaning politics, even on the Left, and to begin recalling and impeaching anyone in support of this nonsense. I’m not talking radicalism, I’m talking actual progressives. But when Gavin Newsom is a likely Democrat set to run for office against Trump for his third term (please don’t let this be a thing), you’re fucked.

A peaceful solution is as likely to happen as me discovering unicorns are real on the same day I win the lotto and am struck by lightning, but sometimes I like to believe people are capable of something that won’t end in a shit ton of violence from one side or another. We’ve seen it before, it can happen again.
