I get called out by neo-liberals for using “terms incorrectly” all the time when I’ve learned their actual meaning and political positioning. Where as they still think they’re part of the left and get mad when you tell them NO.
I mean technically social democracy is kinda center. Liberals totally invert reality and believe that the symptoms of oppression are actually their cause, like being lazy = poor.
Social democrats are weird because they use idealism sometimes, but are capable of using materialist analysis other times. They’re like philosophically half-socialist half-liberal. They will never turn materialist systemic critique against questioning the dictatorship of the bourgeoisie, though.
This is something I’ve always felt should be studied.
I’m a centrist, I believe in Bernie Sanders and AOC. Socialism is actual centrist beliefs.
America is so far right they think healthcare is far left… it’s just barely left of centre.
No. Socialism is left. Democrats are right. You are also using the definitions completely wrong lol.

And they’ll side with fascists over actual socialists every. Single. Time.
