The Franchise Can’t Go On Forever
I disagree. The further you go into the Backrooms, the weirder things get. That kind of expansion, could be a launch point for almost anything.
Why stop at, “new character finds a way in”, when you can pivot to, “what kind of characters could you find already living in there”, and / or “how deep do you have to go, before you find something else entirely”? The spin-off possibilities are almost endless. It’s a cornucopia of cosmic horror potential.
nah, all the wiki shit with multiple stupid levels detract from what it initially was.
the core concept was very simple, even Kane’s version is already reaching levels of extremely convoluted based on what the fans keep speculating about it. It’s clear he understands that it’s better to leave things in the air than to continue dragging it out or over-explaining everything.
- The Backrooms
- Backrooms 2: Liminal Boogaloo
- Backrooms 3: The Pirate Returns
- Backrooms 4: Everything Must Go
- Backrooms 5: Goofy Slides (different director who doesn’t know anything about the Backrooms)
- (10 year gap because they’re embarrassed about 5)
- Backrooms Meets SCP
- Backrooms Origins
- Backrooms Meets SCP 2
- Backrooms: Frontrooms
- Backrooms Holiday Special
- Backrooms (reboot)
- Backrooms 2
- Backrooms 3 (where it’s revealed the whole reboot trilogy isn’t canon; just a dream or separate timeline or something)
- Backrooms: The Final Level (TV series)
I could go on.
(Some of these are jokes, obviously, but your point totally stands. Hell, I’d even watch the joke ones.)
Alien vs Pirate
Rise of the Planet of the Backrooms
It’s already got unofficial spinoffs from the very first videos, and there are others out there not even connected to a Backrooms starting point but have that same surreal feel, all thanks to his spark. Not that he began the ideas, only that he brought it back into the internet mainstream and people ran with it.
I just watched Backrooms last night, absolutely loved it. I felt like it finally hit the formula for creepy/weird/mystery just right
Highly recommend and def plan on re-watching ✨
They absolutely nailed the vibe with the first movie. Wasn’t a fan of the story overall, but hell yes I want to see more Backrooms weirdness.

Back 2 The Room
I really wanted to read this, but then the page switched to asking me to subscribe to their newsletter or some shit, so I rage-quitted.
I really want to see a Mary Kline still life make an appearance in Backrooms 2.
