You might be confused because of the difference on names, but an executive order is rather close to a dictat.

But you can make it a new word if you need your orange man to be in a special category. Maybe “executiveordertator” so you won’t be confused anymore.

I would agree with that but there are actual people here thinking he is a dictator. Its wild. :)

I mean i get it, I joke about it too. But to actually think he is a dictator… :) :)

I guess its Americans and their school system.

The passive aggresive small d**k energy this person is showcasing is part and parcel of the normalization of authoritarianism and idiocracy in modern times. This is the type of acute mental darkness that awaits all of us if we don’t resist and organize against fascism and the rise of Big Stupid.

Dictators don’t just pop into existence with total authoritarian control, it takes the support of already powerful people to erode the checks on their power bit by bit, which Donald Trump has been doing with the support of his billionaire donors. Fascism emerges out of capitalist republics and has to overcome various obstacles to achieve total authority for the leader. Trump does not yet have total dictatorial power because there are still checks on the presidency that he and his movement have not yet succeeded in eroding.

when checks and balances are ignored and you do what you want with the power you have, I’m not sure how my textbook definition of “an absolute ruler” differs from what is going on now in america.

I’d love to hear your thoughts, though. I dont like being wrong, so if I am, please correct me so i may be correct! :)
