I installed a four-panel solar array on the southern wall this year with a total of 700W max. I had to get some extra cables and installed the DC/AC converter in the basement.

It’s not big enough to warrant a battery, as it just bites into our basic use, and won’t try to put much power into the grid (which is basically wasted financially). The first full month with it was September with 50kW/h, but at the moment it is way less.

As we got the panels cheap, it will have paid off in 2-3 years.
