The AI bubble can’t pop soon enough.
I think its starting finally.
What gives you this impression?
The same time this was posted there was another article talking about how stocks with companys based around AI were on the verge of collapse. Can’t find it but here is one talking roughly about the same stuff.
Who knows though, it all seems speculative at this time.
Fair but that still sucks
Why? Can you explain for a non tech savvy Person?
AI is a weird thing right now. It’s not surprising that any company gets into it given the promise of huge money, but it does mean that technology the average enthusiast tends to rely on gets less focus, higher prices, not to mention it’s gonna be weird if the AI industry pops.
It’s not a linear good/bad thing, but it’s like when a good friend starts listening to Joe Rogan or something; it’s possibly harmful and you’d feel better if they weren’t.
The AI industry has been buying so much hardware that the price of chips has increased a lot. Now AMD needs to ask more money because of that.
