They spoiled everything. They show Rocky, hell even showing that he meets an alien should of been held back. But the biggest one was the fact that he was a coward who didn’t want to go. That was a huge revival in the novel.

I think you may be close-watching the trailer and adding in your own knowledge of the book. They clearly show he’s reluctant, and the book does the same thing, but the shock of the reveal is that he was so scared he actually said No and they pressed-ganged him. I don’t think the trailer gives that away at all. If anything, I’m worried they’ll leave that element out if it didn’t test well.
