You mean an antiparasitic works on parasites?

Next you’ll be saying Penicillin works on bacterial infections.

wow, a parasite that makes you dumb and tired

found around half the world, affecting millions of people. usually in regions where people are stereotypically dumb… effectively reinforcing the steriotype. aand it can be fixed, it’s just not done because half assing is the best we can do with rockefellers and co.

and I’ve never heard of it before at all

      thanks

Hookworm is one of the main reasons vets proscribe things like heart guard to dogs. Puppies that look real bloated often have a hookworm or roundworm infection.

Why don’t people have heart guard?

People still walk barefoot in the South

Not sure, maybe they assume we monitor our stool more, or regularly see doctors we can’t afford.

The medicine they use isn’t expensive to mass produce either. Had a coworker in college who’s family ran a cow farm, and she told me to stop paying so much for heart guard… As they essentially just adjust dosages by weight of the same product for cows for pennies on the dollar… Which I wouldconsult a professional before doing, but if it is fine for our pets, and the animals we eat, I can’t imagine we couldn’t mass produce a cheap alternative for humans as well.

Yeah, I found it really interesting, especially the bit where you can get it from walking in the sand barefoot

Comic Strips is a community for those who love comic stories.

The rules are simple:

  • The post can be a single image, an image gallery, or a link to a specific comic hosted on another site (the author’s website, for instance).
  • The comic must be a complete story.
  • If it is an external link, it must be to a specific story, not to the root of the site.
  • You may post comics from others or your own.
  • If you are posting a comic of your own, a maximum of one per week is allowed (I know, your comics are great, but this rule helps avoid spam).
  • The comic can be in any language, but if it’s not in English, OP must include an English translation in the post’s ‘body’ field (note: you don’t need to select a specific language when posting a comic).
  • Politeness.
  • AI-generated comics aren’t allowed.
  • Adult content is not allowed. This community aims to be fun for people of all ages.
