In person I kind of have a better feeling if everything was discussed and what the outcome was, I also remember it better. With phone calls, I have to be super careful. Take notes and if it’s really important also make a script about the topics I want to discuss…
Could send a message afterwards to confirm. I just often need a quick answer for stuff and that’s why I call, I don’t really mind waiting a bit if I know they’re actively looking for the answer

I write the email draft, then have the call and check if I said everything while talking. The point is, I would have to write stuff down anyways.
Phone only is dangerous because a lot of info is just in your head and not anyone else’s .3 weeks later it’s gone.
I end up sending the draft+ what was discussed additionally.
