I remember Adelaide, Australia was looking at having cameras with facial recognition. They told the police, “Please do not utilize it until we draft proper privacy policies for the public”.
The police basically responded with, “Nah, we’ll probably use it.”
As such the council went, “Fuck you then, we will draft the rules before we implement the cameras.”
It’s nice there are people like this.
