Hero Bystander’s family members landed to Sydney from Syria 6 months ago but no specific country of origin mentioned. So, say he is Syrian. His motive was to prevent more deaths. A humanitarian act as family described it. He also said that ‘God gave me strength. I believe I’m going to stop this person killing people’.
We can’t generalize anything. On one side we see religious extremists shooting at people. On the other side (allegedly) same religion people acting out of the goodness of their heart. But no one can dismiss this being a religious attack.
