    I believe they are the same person who made gpu-screen-recorder (Nvidia ShadowPlay clone). They are obviously very talented and I think it would be better to spend that effort improving Wayland compositors instead.

    Still, I wonder what their motivations are as this page does not mention that.

      Wayland doesn’t work for everyone, and that’s ok. We could say the same about having so many distros. More choice is what Linux, and FOSS in general, are all about. They must have a strong compelling reason to start a massive project like this.

    After reading the whole thing, it looks like the best of both world to me. If X and Wayland had a baby. I’m interested
