I just did that with a mouse that came into our apartment.
Due to my health I do not sleep well. During the day I would bang on the register (were it moved in) every hour so to keep it it from a good nights sleep and at night too. I played rat and other predator sounds. When I ate I would make yummy sounds and go mmmm. That was a week or 2 ago. Unless it died or moved on as I no longer hear it. Most likely it just moved to another room but nothing for a few days now.
I would’ve preferred a ghost. I don’t think they like to or cannot chew wires. Actually, the poltergeist is in the kitchen. There’s always things falling over in there.
I like the idea of annoying them to get them out of the house. Like they’ll just grab their briefcase, put on their hat, and walk out the front door.

I’m pretty sure that was a ghost and you made it seem like the apartment was already haunted, so it just moved on.

I thought so too then my wife saw it and I saw it 2 days later. Have not seen it since. About 1.5 weeks ago.
