The United States of America has successfully carried out a large scale strike against Venezuela and its leader, President Nicolas Maduro, who has been, along with his wife, captured and flown out of the Country. This operation was done in conjunction with U.S. Law Enforcement. Details to follow. There will be a News Conference today at 11 A.M., at Mar-a-Lago. Thank you for your attention to this matter! President DONALD J. TRUMP.

I’ve been doing everything I can to push for positive change here. I help campaign for meaningful reforms and change. I protest the horrors that are going on here and against the injustices that are happening.

Think I deserve to complain for a minute about the near constant backsliding going on here.

Not sure why you’re singling out Trump. Americans can’t help but invade other countries in general, regardless of colour of capitalists in charge.

If they can’t even achieve stopping Trump, there’s no hope they’ll ever stop anyone.

Still not sure what makes Trump special. He didn’t even bomb any Nobel Peace Prize recipients [1].

They literally just kidnapped one of the most anti Trump American.

What we need is international solidarity against the US in the form of international sanctions.

I’m pretty sure the correct term is military coup. The EU response was what? More appeasement by focusing on potential justifications of this invasion instead of the ongoing breaking of international law by US aggression towards the same oil-rich country.

Welp, I hope you have a nuclear bunker near you, because Russia won’t take it lightly. I just hope neither USA or Russia attack the EU.

Even USSR wouldn’t have done anything. How many Latin American countries did usa invade during cold war without any repercussions?

Not to mention that this shit actually benefits Russia too. It paints Americans as hypocrites and legitimizes Russian invasion of Ukraine.

Right, they’re going to string the country along like they’ve done with Cuba since the beginning

Honestly what is Russia gonna do? Same as in Syria: nothing. They don’t have the capability anymore to react to this far far away shit in a decent way, nor is it significant enough for them to drop the big one.

The only real military reaction here from Russia would be nuclear. They just don’t have the conventional military means currently to fight a US fleet half the world away. While going nuclear is never impossible, yes the enclosed rat, the chance of it happening over this Venezuela thing isn’t larger than over any other Trump fart. For example the interventions in Iran by Israel/USA are already way more likely to cause this kind of madman reaction, just because of proximity. Iran is in Russia’s backyard, Venezuela isn’t.
