It’s amazing how people can forget it. Everything — war, criminality, economics — it’s all a distraction from the reality that the biosphere is in free fall.
Can we sacrifice the US to the gods so that only they ecologically collapse? This would be a nice little compromise.

Cyberpunk 2077 is supposed to be a caricature (and inaccurate in some ways), but politically I feel like that’s where the world is rapidly heading. It seems to be where a lot of political leadership wants to go, and where other leadership is not sufficiently afraid of.
