If you have Steam running, I believe you can disconnect with a quick PS+Triangle. Otherwise just hold down the PS button for a few seconds, which is annoying but better than switching tasks.

Also, i don’t like how steam doesn’t let us use the touchpad easily, you gotta hold down that power button and use a thumbstick, which sometimes takes me so long to get to the perfect right spot that turns off the controller hahahah
the 10 sec poweroff is the second reason why I stopped using a ps4 controller. the first is it being recognized as an audio device. the third is the friends I provide tech support for use them and constantly complain about the audio or other issues but don’t want to switch to anything else.

Does Steam’s controller timeout setting not work with yours? It works on both my PS5 and 8BitDo controller on openSUSE Tumbleweed.
