They murdered the West Coast canon… And everything else was awesome.
Should have nuked the Midwest canon, it deserved it.
Also, simply the best physical casting for the main character in history, because she has angles where she’s absolutely gorgeous and others that are VERY unflattering and that’s the most Fallout character designer a person can possibly be.
That said, it is a TV show, meaning a longer story format. You did say it’s only the first two episodes so far, so maybe by the next (or 4th) it’ll really ramp up; that’s kinda how it seemed to go in the first season anyway.
Maybe they have another season or so of story they want to tell, so 2 might be the midpoint or something.
I do remember S1 not being in a rush either but that’s understandable because story beginnings tend to spend a good deal of time introducing the audience to characters and the world.
We already know the characters and their motivations so it shouldn’t use up as much time setting up the plot.
Looking back at this… It was actually Fallout 3 I played. Really loved it. I remember thinking this was the first game I played that really made me feel completely immersed in its world and really made me feel how their world had gone to shit and it’s everyone looking out for themselves. It was so good.
I love Fallout but have zero interest in TV series. I’m just a video game guy rather than a TV guy.
It’s honestly such a good show though

The first 2 episodes of season 2 seem to be meandering. Whole movies have complete story arcs in less time than that.
It’s starting to give me the sense that the writers are milking it since S1 was a hit.
I haven’t watched season 2 yet so I have no idea.

I hope you’re right.

Another reason could be straight-up fan service lol. Everyone was asking about New Vegas even before the first season aired.
Fallout 4 was the only game I played, but I love the TV show. Might check out some other games myself sometime.
3 and New Vegas are both really good. If you liked the story of 4, you’ll probably love those other two.
