They pursue a deliberate strategy of killing and kidnapping civilians.

They “kidnap” civilians (among also many military members) in an attempt to do prisoner exchanges in response to a much more large-scale strategy of the same employed by “Israel”. Unlike “Israel” they are working with few resources and very little intelligence data, so it’s not surprising their actions aren’t always surgically precise (whereas “Israel”, of course, constantly target civilians deliberately).

And their disastrous political and military strategy was a large contributor to the deaths of hundreds of thousands of Gazans over the past several years.

Literally victim blaming, lol. You’re not only assuming that they could have predicted the exact course of events (including the scale of their success in Al-Aqsa flood and the scale of the “Israeli” response), but softly absolving the actual perpetrators of much of the blame. There is one and only one party responsible for this and for all other violence within Palestine since 1948. That’s what colonialism is.
