minus-squareFirst_Thunder@lemmy.ziplinkfedilinkarrow-up3·3 hours agoDon’t install NixOS. Seriously. It is insanity
minus-squareunderisk@lemmy.mllinkfedilinkarrow-up5·1 hour agoDon’t install NixOS because it’s got Anduril and Palantir all over it.
minus-squaredjsaskdja@reddthat.comlinkfedilinkEnglisharrow-up1·2 hours agoI’d be willing to argue that running anything OTHER than NixOS is insanity. Except maybe Debian. Everyone loves Debian.
minus-squaretrollercoaster@sh.itjust.workslinkfedilinkEnglisharrow-up1·3 hours agoIs it? Haven’t met any very forthcoming NixOS users yet, but time will tell.
minus-squaremech@feddit.orglinkfedilinkarrow-up3·2 hours agoTheir recommendation usually starts with a disclaimer, and ends with “But it’s worth it, cause you can easily clone your machine”. For me, one look at https://nixos.org/manual/nixos/stable/#ch-configuration and https://nixos.org/manual/nixos/stable/options is enough to know it’s way too much hassle for me. I’ll stick with Slackware.
Isn’t is NixOS, btw now?
