I took my family shooting with my homeguard unit. They shot a diemaco C7, which is similar to the AR15 used on Trump, with an elcan C79 3.4x optical sight.
After firing 10 warmup shots, from a prone position at 200m, everyone would have gotten at least 2/3 hits if aiming for center mass. And my family is not a gun family, for half of them this was the first time they fired more than a .177 pellet airgun.
I realize that adrenaline is a beast of a substance. But if I, with my mediocre (at best) shooting skills, get 100% hits, on a torso at 200m on the range, then I don’t buy the story about an assassination attempt.
