I mean, “both sides” are intentionally being riled up and driven to violent and dangerous rhetoric by one side so yeah. I hate Trump and Repubs but it’s insane the vile shit you see people say. On both sides.

Now where the sides are completely different is that 999/100 on the lefter side aren’t going to go commit violent hateful acts. On the other side it’s a lot worse ratio.

Should note that it’s just social media. In real life it’s just conservatives being insane vs sensible people

Generally comments on Facebook. I was seeing vitriolic death shit around the Charlie Kirk stuff but extended. Everyone in the comments telling each other to die and threatening. It was gross. Driven by bots it gets everyone worked up. Since the ICE “crackdown” though it seems to be just racists vs sensible people, and I’m glad for that.

      Not at all

Cameron…described being the US under Donald Trump as “like watching a car crash over and over” and said his New Zealand citizenship was “imminent”.

“New Zealand had eliminated the virus completely,” he said. “They actually eliminated the virus twice. The third time, when it showed up in a mutated form, it broke through. But fortunately, they already had a 98% vaccination rate.”

“This is why I love New Zealand. People there are, for the most part, sane – as opposed to the United States, where you had a 62% vaccination rate, and that’s going down, going the wrong direction.

“Where would you rather live? A place that actually believes in science and is sane and where people can work together cohesively to a common goal, or a place where everybody’s at each other’s throats, extremely polarised, turning its back on science and basically would be in utter disarray if another pandemic appears.”

More like- just a rich douche seeing the way the wind is blowing, and is getting out before the guillotines are built.

A quick skim of the article, he also cites how the US doesn’t believe in vaccines and that trump is a train wreck. That said, he did make the quote and is a rich douche so…. Point stands

I think the opinion of those that have worked with him would be most relevant to that.

Every one of us profits from a system that exploits workers. There are workers who can’t even get online, they’re suffering more than you, and what little you have is partly due to their underpaid efforts.

Don’t let imperfection be the enemy of good. We’re all a part of a system that exploits others, so that can’t be any useful metric as it paints everyone.

No, if he hadn’t been allowed to take billions of dollars in profits off the movies and intead the rewards had been more equitably distributed, they would have been better off.

I don’t get what’s so difficult about this concept. One guy doesn’t do much work, gets most of the money. Bunch of people do most of the work, get very little money. Way too many people with no money, “this is the best possible system and I will defend it with my dying breath.”
