The NRA waded into the national dialogue over Pretti’s killing after Bill Essayli – who was appointed by Trump to temporarily serve as a US attorney in California in 2025 – posted on social media: “If you approach law enforcement with a gun, there is a high likelihood they will be legally justified in shooting you.”

In response, the NRA posted: “This sentiment … is dangerous and wrong. Responsible public voices should be awaiting a full investigation, not making generalizations and demonizing law-abiding citizens.”

He didn’t approach law enforcement with a gun though, did he? And even if he did they had no justification to kill him. He stood by and filmed ICE (who are not law enforcement since they are taking no notice of the law), then they attacked him after he stood between them and the two unarmed women they were physically attacking. They gassed him, wrestled him to the ground, beat him with their guns, took his gun away from him (that was still holstered and he evidently had no intention of using), then held him face down on the ground and shot him in the back 10 times at point blank range

Anyone who tries to justify this is on the wrong side of humanity.

Correct, he did not. There’s sufficient video evidence from multiple angles to say with certainty that anyone who is pushing the narrative that he did or might have planned to do anything wrong are either straight up evil or willfully ignorant.
